Ethnographic Documentary is an audiovisual gender inextricably linked to Social Sciences development because it wills to truly represent Cultures and, at that aim, uses Cultural Anthropology, Sociology or Semiotics’ research methods and techniques.
Dokult mainly produces two types of documentaries: long Films and shorts Series: Long documentary Films usually last from 50 to 90 minutes and face complex subjects that require deep context to be understood. Short films Series, on the other hand, with chapters from 3 to 7 minutes long, make us possible to portrait some cultural phenomena –to represent their internal structure- within a few selected speeches.
Throughout these two formats, we offer to a wide range of audience –from every social condition- the possibility of overhauling their own cultural systems, as a result of coincidence or contrast with the reproduction of someone else’s.
